The School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education brings together people from the humanities, arts, film and media, social sciences and education to explore how industries, cultures and societies evolve and respond to technological transformation.
The School comprises of four departments and two research centres.
The Department of Media and Communications is actively seeking Expressions of Interest for sessional lecturers/tutors to assist with the course delivery and teaching activities for Semester 2.
Teaching areas:
We welcome EOI’s for any of our teaching areas but to meet the course demand, we have a strong desire to hear from those within the Media Analytics and Visualisation speciality with an expertise in Data research, analytics and visualisation specific to media and communication disciplines (PR, Advertising, Journalism, and Social Media).
The lecturer/tutor would need experience in teaching the analysis and application of diverse data sources for research and data storytelling in media and communication. You will be experienced in finding and utilising different sources and forms of data to provide evidence in various forms of media content creation, including creating data visualisations as a source of information. Evidence of the application of data-centered research and analysis to varied media content creation projects in industry would also be preferential. A higher degree is desirable.
