Delivery Manager

 

Description:

 

You will play a crucial role in leading and supporting delivery within high-performing multidisciplinary teams, keeping them focused and on track to deliver the product milestones and meet stakeholders' expectations.

Key elements & activities of the role include:

  • Applying various agile frameworks to support and coordinate delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams to build the right thing, at the right time, in the right way
  • Building a collaborative and supportive team environment, with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers to plan the delivery of products
  • Removing blockers and impediments for delivery teams
  • Facilitating agile events including sprint planning, sprint review, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement and showcases
  • Engaging with stakeholders to identify and manage key dependencies
  • Creating productive working relationships with a large and diverse range of stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Managing and reporting on delivery progress, including budgets, schedules, risks, issues and dependencies.

To succeed, you will have:

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role, ideally in a leading consulting firm, or within a public sector / industry equivalent
  • High level leadership and people management skills, including experience leading blended teams (including clients) across varied skillsets on large projects
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills (inc. presentation skills)
  • Ability to take initiative and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships.
