The Delivery Lead will be instrumental in managing end-to-end projects from inception through to implementation and transition to support. Projects initiatives may vary and consist of several small infrastructure, enterprise applications and BAU projects within Group Technology.

The Delivery Lead will be responsible and accountable for leading small high performing project team(s) to elicit requirements, provide thought leadership, support the development and delivery of solutions that are fit for purpose and deliver business value. They will be able to lead, mentor and develop the team(s) and project resources to meet project deliverables by utilising a self-determined delivery approach.

The Delivery Lead will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, including product owners, architects, service providers and support teams. Informing and developing strong partnerships with these stakeholders and influencing them to achieve favourable outcomes.

  • Delivery Management of project/s scope, schedule, quality and budget constraints
  • Assist Business Units to achieve their operating plans and strategies by providing thought leadership and capable staff
  • Manage people processes, risk management frameworks and direct line reporting resources including the effective management of FTE budgets.
  • Support and adopt practices to listen learn and respond to customer and employee feedback.
  • Participate in/manage as appropriate the identification, assessment, treatment and reporting of risks
  • Role model the aspired Leadership behaviors to source, lead, develop and retain high quality team members aligned to the Australian Unity purpose and values.
  • Solid cross-functional experience in delivering Business and IT Projects in unstructured environments
  • Solid experience leading multiple teams, business and technology stakeholders to a common outcome
  • Experience operating and delivering projects using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience providing thought leadership, mentoring, coaching and training colleagues, team members and direct reports
  • Experience in the use of JIRA desirable
  • SAFe Certification with hands-on experience is desirable
