Your new role

  • You will lead and develop the growth of the market segments relating to the Land portfolio by identifying and pursuing new market opportunities.
  • In this role, you will have significant autonomy to plan, shape and win new business.
  • You will be the point of contact for all Land activities with ESL land division.
  • Devise a tailored and structured approach to customer engagement and broaden capability networking opportunities to enhance the companies' portfolio of platforms across both AU and NZ.
  • Lead customer engagement activities, shaping and informing customer requirements, expectations and satisfaction for future capabilities.
  • Company representation at conferences and engagements demonstrating excellence.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Comprehensive market research and analysis.
  • Lead bid teams in proposal and tender responses.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Business development skills with an evidenced win rate.
  • Solid experience in the Australian Defence industry; ideally within both industry and miliary environments. Those with both uniform and industry experience are highly regarded.
  • An understanding of capability associated with the land domain.
  • An understanding of capability (operational or technical) associated with Land Weapon Systems and Munitions.
  • Proven track record of success of Sales and Business Development within defence with a focus on the Land domain.
  • ASDEFCON experience with ASDEFCON tender response & evaluation being highly regarded.
  • You will be a strategic thinker with a mindset that is results orientated.
