Dcs Commissioning Engineer

Intellect Automation currently supporting our client, a Mine owner that is actively growing their commissioning team for ongoing greenfield project. Already existing is a large and highly skilled team of multi-disciplined engineers/technicians and they now need to add to this position for growing commissioning work. 

The current need is for a DCS Commissioning Engineer to work FIFO from a QLD/NSW base (10 days ON /4 days OFF roster). The initial contract length will be 3 months, with extension from there a very strong possibility as there is ongoing work heading into 2022.

The ongoing project is focused on process plant commissioning. Controls knowledge in Yokogawa Centum VP DCS, both the technical aspects and also practical working implementation on a working site are essential. This role will already have a defined scope, most of the coding is complete.

Essential Skills/Requirements

1. Degree qualified in electronic/controls engineering or equivalent 
2. Minimum 10 years control systems engineering experience 
3. Strong Yokogawa DCS experience which includes practical implementation and site-based exposure (bulk coding experience would be a bonus)
4. Industry experience ideally across Mining, Oil & Gas or Energy
5. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to translate technical items to non-technical colleagues when required
