Business Banking (BB) enhances the financial wellbeing of people, businesses and communities, particularly CBA's small and medium-sized enterprise clients, including in rural and regional areas, as well as the needs of CBA's online trading and broking Clients

 

The BB Data Office is a critical team within the ADDS and is accountable for setting and delivering the BB data assets and data management strategy. It provides guidance on the portfolio investments to ensure we are building and leveraging strategic data assets and tools across BB and CBA , implements the data management framework across BB and supports business teams to apply the framework ultimately improving the quality of the data they use.

The BB Analytics, Data and Decision Science (ADDS) team uses data and analytics to identify our customers’ needs and safely deliver insight, contact journeys and innovative solutions to improve their financial wellbeing.

We leverage data and innovative technology to deeply understand our customers and derive world-class insights to support commercial strategy and decision-making. We proactively uncover customer needs and collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Digital to deliver the best offer and outcome to our customers via the most optimal channssel.

 

Your Impact & Contribution:

 

You are passionate about all things data related and how the BB can increase its competitive advantage and create value through the effective and efficient use of data. You embed data management practices across the Bank to support the strategic goals of the business with a mixed focus on short and long-term outcomes. You are pivotal in the prioritisation and coordination of investments in data build and addressing key data risk issues. You will be working with stakeholders across the business and the wider bank to ensure the best outcomes for BB.

 

You will represent BB in ensuring that our investments in data initiatives and change programs are strategic and aligned with our data management and growth objectives.

 

Key accountabilities include:

 

Data management

• Work with BB project managers to ensure that the way we build, modify and improve the management of data in BB is in accordance to our strategy and policies

• Work with internal product and business owners to deliver data improvement initiatives

• Work with risk and audit advisory to we buy down our risk in data

• Conduct audit and reviews to support ongoing compliance of operations

• Represent Data Office on various forums in relati on to data improvement programs, ensure synergies and collaboration

 

Data reporting

• Synthesize business and technical complexities into clear and concise messaging for management reporting

• Write and produce papers for governance reporting and consumption

• Produce periodical compliance reports based on current requirements

 

We are interested in hearing from you if you have:

• Prior experience in managing end to end delivery of business outcomes

• Ability to plan and manage multiple time critical request with an understanding of business value, effective prioritisation and decision making

• Analytical mindset with strong stakeholder management skills

• Demonstrated ability to present complex concepts and outcomes into simplified key messages and present to senior leaders

• Ability to translate policies into measurable outcomes and to drive its delivery

• Advanced communication skills, presentation skills and a strong ability to negotiate and influence

• Experience in using data and analytics to develop dashboards, insights and recommendations

• Good understanding of data management and data risk practices
