A little bit about us
The Regional Development and Local Government Division is responsible for the Australian Government’s regional development programs and policy.
The division manages the Australian Government’s regional development grants programs including the Building Better Regions Fund, Regional Growth Fund and Stronger Communities Program. Additionally, the division manages other programs, including the Financial Assistance Grant and Regional Development Australia programs. The division also provides policy advice on regional development and local government matters and manages the National Awards for Local Government.
The Enterprise Grant Management Office/Regional Initiatives Implementation Office Section is responsible for delivering two significant and related functions.
The Regional Initiatives Implementation Office works across the division, providing program management office functions aimed at supporting program governance, integrity and assurance in a strategic and coordinated way. The team is made up of subject matter experts supporting functions including: governance, data analytics and reporting, risk and assurance.
The Enterprise Grant Management Office works across the Department, supporting consistency and high-quality grant management. This is a new function within the Department and the team is actively consulting and developing our approaches to delivering this new priority.
The opportunity we have available
Working in the Enterprise Grant Management Office/Regional Initiatives Implementation Office will provide you with the chance to use your data analytics skills to contribute to the government’s integrity agenda and regional priorities. Working under the broad direction of the Assistant Director, Data Analytics and Program Delivery Monitoring, you will provide expertise in solving business challenges and support data driven decision making. You will actively contribute to developing and/or resolving complex data analytics solutions and support decision makers by developing reports and visualisations. Working in this dynamic team will provide you with opportunities to help embed our approach to program governance, integrity and continual improvement to support a number of significant programs in Regional Development and Local Government, and the Department more generally.
