We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced customer service professionals keen for a new challenge!

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be working in a high volume, fast paced and dynamic service delivery environment, providing exceptional customer service predominantly on the phone.

You will be joining a supportive team of customer service professionals with a passion for delivering positive service experiences to the Moreton Bay community!

  • Predominantly we are taking inbound calls, not outbound, our customers want to talk with us and it is at a time that suits them!

  • Diversity of topics! Whilst it can be daunting, and you will unlikely ever be a subject matter expert, you will be helping with enquiries relating to rates, missed bins, wandering animals, building enquiries, upcoming events... and so much more.
  • You will be busy and challenged. Once you have completed your training and found your feet, you will be taking 60-80 calls a day.
  • We genuinely are a supportive team - you will start off 12 day classroom style training session, moving to a buddy program and ongoing feedback sessions.
  • You will be helping our local community!

About you

This role is a great fit for customer-centric professionals with experience in customer service, strong communication, problem solving, and a passion for quality service delivery!

To be successful in this role, you will also have:

  • experience working in a high-volume customer service environment, ideally in a Call Centre
  • a warm, professional and empathetic manner, with the ability to interpret and relay information about Council Services to a diverse customer base
  • a high level of computer literacy and the ability to navigate multiple systems, using multiple screens
  • well-developed time management and prioritisation skills
