Customer Experience Officer

As the Customer Experience Officer, you will play a key role in delivering exception customer service to a broad range of customer across multiple contact channels and locations and working collaboratively across the organisation to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville.

• Be a first point of contact, answering incoming calls and following up with outgoing calls
• Ensure a high level of customer service and professionalism is provided to the community and customers by effectively managing customer enquiries, service requests, applications and transactions across multiple service delivery channels with accuracy.
• Ensure the documents provided meet the current legislative requirements
• Ensure all documentation retrieved and maintained meets record management practices and standards
• Deliver an excellent customer experience at the point of contact in a positive, courteous and knowledgeable manner.

To be considered for this position you will ideally have experience as a call centre operator, or working in a fast-paced environment where incoming and outgoing phone calls were utilised.

You will also possess:

• A dynamic, positive, can-do attitude with high level of initiative
• Sound judgement, and willingness to innovate to produce work of high quality
• The ability to multi-task and have good planning and prioritisation skills
• A strong sense of urgency and ownership, ability to work well under pressure
• High level of competency with Microsoft Windows Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Be able to complete a drug and alcohol test prior to commencement
