Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Curriculum Leader for Learning Enrichment for a full-time continuing position commencing January 2023.

This is a Tier 2 (c) Middle Leadership position with an initial three-year appointment as Middle Leader.

Two subsequent three-year appointments as Middle Leader will be offered following a successful performance review.

There will be teaching responsibilities attached to this position.

  • Leading the curriculum area of Learning Enrichment in vision and strategy.
  • Promoting student access to and participation in the curriculum through inclusion curriculum and pedagogical practices.
  • Training and/or supporting the learning enrichment staff, ie. School Officers, Speech Pathologist, and ST:IEs.
  • Working in partnership with allied health professionals and community organisations as appropriate to support identified/verified students and their families.
  • Case managing/supporting the co-ordination of supported students.
  • Providing professional development and monitoring teachers’ professional practice in areas of identified need regarding Learning Enrichment (in conjunction with the College Leadership Team).
  • Partnering with class teachers, School Officers, parents and other professionals to design learning and teaching adjustments that reflect outcomes derived from class planning.
  • Participating in the enrolment process for identified/verified students.
  • Managing the systemic requirements for Educational Adjustment program processes for data collection, verifications and review of the EAP profiles.
  • Providing advice to the Principal re the SWD budget.
  • Other appropriate duties as required by the Principal.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to meet the following criteria:

  • Holding appropriate qualifications and experience in Learning Enrichment and Teacher Training. Primary trained teachers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Possessing effective communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills,
  • Evidence of leadership and organisational skills and a desire to build leadership capacity.
  • Having a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum including Version 9.
  • Desire to work in a vibrant Catholic community inspired by the vision of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart.
