Credit Officer

Our client is currently seeking a Credit Officer to join their team as a Senior Credit Officer, you will be responsible for completing the reconciliation, dispute, and collections processes for the assigned portfolio within the group. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing support to other team members in projects and administrative duties as required.

The Role

  • Assist/lead projects within the team and provide support to the Team Leader as required
  • Responsible for the integrity and timely completion of all data reconciliation tasks applicable to the portfolio
  • Proactively review all reconciliation models and processes for improvement opportunities which will support operational excellence
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the companies and customer operations across the segment and actively support the Credit Manager in all finance and commercial related matters
  • Manage and assist with the timely and accurate preparation of reconciliations, data matching and detailed variance analysis of debtor accounts within control • As required, assist senior management with the preparation of presentations and analysis of departmental data
  • Maintain ongoing reporting for customers
  • Integrity of data and reconciliation of accounts
  • Contribute to Lean Projects across GLSS with participation in projects as required
  • Input to team PAR
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Senior Leadership Group as instructed/required
  • Maintain good relationships with business and key stakeholders and actively demonstrate company values
  • Maintain compliance within GBS and company policies, processes, and procedures relating to all administrative, finance, and commercial functions

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience and understanding with RCTI accounts
  • Excellent finance system skills including Microsoft Office (Excel - High Level) suite and Unibis/Oracle
  • Change and system implementation experience – preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume group environment
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
