Credentialing Officer

Description:

Mater are looking for experienced and diligent Credentialing Officers to join the state-wide Clinical Governance Team and work closely with the Mater Hospitals Executive Leadership Teams. These roles will be part-time or full-time (you will be asked your preference in your application form). This role will be based at our Mater Newstead corporate office.

Within this context, and at the organisation level of clinical governance, the purposes of this position are to:

• Coordinate and continually improve the established systems and processes to support an effective, efficient and compliant credentialing management function.
• Facilitate the end-to-end processes associated with credentialing processes for all Health Practitioners requiring credentialing and recognition of scope of practice.
• Establish, maintain and continually improve credentialing assurance processes to provide Mater’s leadership with confidence that Health Practitioners meet regulatory requirements and relevant governing standards, policies and guidelines relating to commencement and re-credentialing as a Health Practitioner at Mater.

You will have knowledge of relevant regulation and standards that inform polices and processes related to Medical Administration and credentialing processes.

• High level of independent, organisational, management and prioritising skills.
• Demonstrated level of reliability, integrity, and confidentiality.
• An understanding of the health practitioner classifications, undergraduate training, postgraduate continuing education programs, medical registration, and professional indemnity insurance.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
