The Adviser, Country Teaching Career Program will work collaboratively as part of the Workforce Design and Attraction team providing state-wide delivery of programs and services that support the Department’s aspiration for a world class education system.

The position will contribute to the design, delivery and forward planning of high-quality programs and services to strengthen the Department’s employee pipeline in country locations. Primarily this will include supporting pre-service teachers to undertake professional experience placements and to support the development and implementation of a pre-service teacher employment program.

While the Adviser will have a particular focus on the Country Teaching Career projects they may work across other programs and support the team’s operational activities when required

• Strong administration skills and proven ability to implement end to end programs and projects meeting pressing deadlines.

• Proven ability to deal with complex and sensitive human resources matters maintaining confidentiality.

• High level of interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.

• Demonstrated experience in analysing workforce data and providing expert input to support informed decision making.

• Proven experience in delivering a high standard customer service, understanding the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

• Proven ability to write complex documents such as briefings, correspondence, reports and papers for senior executives and leaders.
