Corporate & Funds Lawyer

We have an exciting new opportunity available in our Brisbane office for an experienced lawyer to join our award-winning Corporate practice group.

In this role you will engage with national and international clients across a diverse range of sectors, including technology, health, real estate, financial services and funds management. You will have a variety of opportunities to work on interesting matters with great clients including M&A transactions, capital raises, establishment and structuring of retail and wholesale investment funds and complex governance advice. Client relationship management will be key to the success of this role, along with the ability research and draft high quality technical advices. You will also be required to provide a broad range of general corporate and commercial support and advice to clients, including transactional related advice.

This team has a very low attrition rate and are a close, social and collaborative bunch who are not siloed so you will work across all clients and have the opportunity to support the national Corporate team, who are all approachable, genuine and experts in their field. You can expect to learn, be mentored and be coached by senior lawyers in the Brisbane office to ensure your success.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have at least three years of relevant Australian legal experience in this area. If you are currently overseas and looking to return, we would love to hear from you however you will need to be an Australian qualified lawyer.

You will possess the ability to work both autonomously as well as in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytic skills and a desire to expand their legal and commercial skills.

Most importantly, we seek someone eager to embrace a leadership role, confidently take ownership of tasks, and consistently support partners and senior lawyers on complex matters. A strong client service ethic and a desire to learn will be crucial to your success in this role.
