Corporate Accountant

 

Description:

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will oversee the Corporate Accounting function for our Australian businesses. This includes managing period end close, Group Reporting, and handling sensitive accounting journals.

This is a business critial role ensuring financial results comply with IFRS and support key reporting needs, including shareholder and bank covenant reporting.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Provide insights to shareholders, executives, and stakeholders through key corporate dashboards.
  • Manage monthly accounting for non-operational entities, including reconciliation and analysis.
  • Complete all external reporting requirements efficiently.
  • Empower the finance team to optimize reporting platforms.
  • Manage the annual external audit process across the group.
  • Prepare end-of-month reporting packs for the CFO and management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements.
  • Manage EOM journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Report on working capital and cash management.
  • Confident in consolidation processes and elimination.
  • Manage intercompany reporting and transactions.
  • Deliver statutory accounts and relevant controls for non-operational entities.
  • Assist in budget and forecast processes, focusing on consolidation and reporting.
     

Experience/Qualifications Required:
 

  • 5+ years in a similar role
  • Accounting degree
  • CA qualified
  • Experience in large companies or Big 4/Mid Tier firms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
