Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a passionate group of researchers working with the Western Australian community services sector to develop and implement a Climate Justice and Resilience Toolkit. The project seeks to provide tools, resources, and guidelines that support community service organisations to integrate climate justice into organisational operations, programs, and practice. The toolkit has a focus on six indicative themes:
The role is responsible to:
Plan and coordinate the delivery of the Climate Justice and Resilience Toolkit project, including content design, and preparing and delivering training to community service organisations
Liaise with and provide ongoing communication with the project’s Steering Committee, academic team, and advisory network for guidance and advice for the Toolkit development
Engage with the ECU academic team and partners as required to test and refine tools and monitor and evaluate the project
Track and report on the project’s progress and address any slippage as required.
Robustly manage documentation related to the project.
Ensure all project activities comply with ECU policies, processes and standards.

The successful candidate will have:
A relevant university qualification or equivalent, with experience in project delivery with quality outcomes/specific experience in organisational development, such as developing policies and procedures, community program development and/or the operation of organisations.
An understanding of climate justice and the relationship between social justice and climate change, and the importance of privileging the perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people with lived experience in action for climate justice. An understanding of the community services sector and the operational context of community service organisations.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and effectively, and achieve tasks in agreed timeframes.
Proven interpersonal and collaborative skills in achieving research outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and contribute to a team; and
