This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a passionate group of researchers working with the Western Australian community services sector to develop and implement a Climate Justice and Resilience Toolkit. The project seeks to provide tools, resources, and guidelines that support community service organisations to integrate climate justice into organisational operations, programs, and practice. The toolkit has a focus on six indicative themes:

climate justice and the community sector;

lived experiences;

governance, policies, and finances;

service delivery;

advocacy, campaigns, communications and research; and

reducing our footprint.

Working within the School of Arts and Humanities at the Edith Cowan University Joondalup Campus, the Coordinator will report to the Project Chief Investigator and form collaborative and productive working relationships with the project Steering Committee, academic team and other governance groups associated with delivery of the project. The primary focus of the role will be coordinating the delivery and completion of the Climate Justice and Resilience Toolkit project in accordance with the project’s funding agreement, providing clear communication to the organisation and relevant stakeholders throughout the course of the project.

The role is responsible to:
Plan and coordinate the delivery of the Climate Justice and Resilience Toolkit project, including content design, and preparing and delivering training to community service organisations

Liaise with and provide ongoing communication with the project’s Steering Committee, academic team, and advisory network for guidance and advice for the Toolkit development

Engage with the ECU academic team and partners as required to test and refine tools and monitor and evaluate the project

Track and report on the project’s progress and address any slippage as required.

Robustly manage documentation related to the project.

Ensure all project activities comply with ECU policies, processes and standards.
