Assistant Director (EL1)- Contract Manager
Work for a well-known Federal Government agency, an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing a scheme which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
Responsibilities include:
- Consulting and collaborating with internal stakeholders and business areas, providing a combined education and business intelligence function to identify upcoming issues that require action, further advice or forward planning.
- Working collaboratively with agency business areas as a Corporate Contract Manager, and managing a team to ensure services continues to be delivered to Agency staff.
- Leading an integrated approach to identifying procurement and/or contract improvements requirements early in the process, including supporting the planning activities within the wider team.
- Ensuring agency procurement and contract management activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the agency Procurement Policy.
- Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the agency Procurement Framework, and Agency policies and procedures.
- Managing regular policy and process reviews for continuous business improvement in order to benefit the business clients and improving procurement business partnership.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous Procurement and Contract Management experience is essential, preferably in a Government Agency or Department
- Ability to understand and apply company policy and procedures
- Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR's)
- SAP experience
- Capacity to work in a busy environment with demonstrated skills in time management, working with competing priorities and ability to prioritise and manage tight deadlines
- Previous experience working within government departments or industries including Health, Disability, Community, NGO's is desired
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
