Your day in the life of a Consulting Architect at Optus
- Analyse customer requirements and develop standardised solutions to meet customer needs which may often include multiple technology stacks, plus provide expertise and governance for customer solutions, specifically identifying and mitigating risk.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team within Pre-Sales activities such as providing demonstrations, presentations & consultation, in order to drive deeper and more meaningful customer conversations with technical SMEs in the customer contacts to improve long term sales win rate
- Develop and maintain excellent working alignment with Sales, Products, Delivery and the broader Optus community plus third-party vendors from pre-sales, to hand-over, to the transition team who will implement chosen solution.
- Develop positive relationships within the vendor and industry communities and engage to develop and deliver innovative customer solutions.
Your Skills To Pay The Bills
- Previous experience and tenure in a similar role with commercial, technical and communications sector understanding and background.
- Ability to connect with and understand a client’s technology requirements and recommend a product suite that is fit-for-purpose.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of present technological trends, processes and methodologies in the Telco and ICT markets, detailed knowledge of competitor products and solutions.
- An excellent communicator with both clients and technical team members at all levels, with outstanding presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to self-manage to deliver against clients’ expectations, set timeframes and budgets.
