Description:
The Risk & Compliance Manager will report to the Director of People & Culture and is primarily responsible for the overall implementation and maintenance of the enterprise and operational risk management, regulatory compliance, and policy programs (including compliance training).
Responsibilities but not limited to....
- continuously improve and maintain a mature College risk management framework, centralised operational risk registers and the controlled environment to reduce risk.
- track identified risks and issues, and ensure accurate monitoring and reporting to the Executive Team and Risk & Strategy Committee.
- develop and implement a cycle of self-review and remediation against compliance requirements relevant to the College.
- develop and maintain a policy taxonomy, review and approval schedule that includes disclosure and consent requirements and meets legislative and regulatory requirements.
- develop structured and targeted reports as required to the Director People and Culture, Executive Team, Risk & Strategy Committee and College Council.
Qualifications & Experience
- proven experience in a Risk and Compliance Management role.
- proven track record of formulating and implementing risk and compliance management strategies and operating practices.
- experience in undertaking internal audits.
- experience in managing own workload with limited supervision and working under pressure to achieve deadlines experience in implementing policies and procedures in a complex organisation.
- good understanding of the education sector and the legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to the independent school sector is advantageous.
