Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide strategic advice on communication approaches and context.
2. Identify, plan, create and implement a range of communications projects and activities, including planning and logistics, resource
allocation and consideration of media, political and stakeholder implications consistent with the objectives, strategic directions and
priorities of the department and government.
3. Support communications activities for emergency management or biosecurity incursion responses, including preparedness activities,
responding in a positive, calm and flexible manner to change and uncertainty.
4. Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders, including industry and agency experts, to build understanding of agency
initiatives, issues and sensitivities; and be responsive to stakeholder needs and expectations.
5. Ensure programs meet and adhere to Northern Territory Government branding, digital, communication and procurement policies and guidelines.
