Community Engagement Lead

Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Community Engagement Lead to join the Gippsland Region Public Health Unit (GRPHU) team on a fixed-term basis from 07/11/2022 until 30/06/2024 (Full Time or Part-Time applicants are welcomed).

Reporting to the GRPHU Operations Leadership,this role plays an important role in working with community and other stakeholder for effective community engagement strategies that support improved population outcomes for the Gippsland region.

• Build relationships in the community and with other stakeholders to ensure representation in the development to delivery of essential health and well being messages, and public health work undertaken by GRPHU
• Use a range of engagement techniques and tools
• Participation in strategic planning, demonstrating measurement of engagement activities, and increasing awareness about GRPHU strategic directions
• Cultivate positive and strong team culture through visible leadership, support, and guidance to team members

  The Gippsland Region Public Health Unit (GRPHU) is led and coordinated by LRH and works in partnership with health services and agencies throughout the Gippsland region. Initially, GRPHU has been responsible for COVID-19-related activities in collaboration with the Department of Health. As COVID-19 demands decline, the GRPHU is taking on broader public health functions such as the improvement of population health in the Gippsland region. The GRPHU public health functions are consistently reviewed and improved to meet the demands of our community.
