We have a rewarding, dynamic full-time role for a Communications Specialist in our busy Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you’ll make a difference in this role by:

  • Understanding our strategic priorities and having the ability to create both internal and external communications with purpose and impact
  • Having a firm grasp of our organisational tone of voice and the willingness and skill to apply it
  • Being adept at working across different communication channels and in multiple media
  • Being a relationship builder across all levels in the organisation and with key external partners such as journalists, clients and partners
  • Being curious about what we do and seeking out stories that help explain why we do it and how we help
  • Being equally comfortable with producing media and communications campaigns, stand-alone content and learning new skills where required

To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria.

  • Previous experience as a communications professional with outstanding verbal and written communication and editing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in creating innovative communications content, including the ability to skilfully interview subjects
  • Ability to translate complex information into meaningful content for a range of different stakeholders
  • Well developed stakeholder management and diplomacy skills
  • Media management experience highly desirable
  • Experience coordinating project communications.
  • High levels of initiative and a consultative and collaborative mindset
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple and concurrent projects, maintaining attention to detail.
  • Degree in Communications, Journalism or relevant equivalent
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is desirable.
