About the role

You'll be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that support the work of the South East Metro Health Services Partnership, a newly established collaborative initiative between Peninsula Health, Monash Health, Alfred Health and the South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network.

The work will be varied and interesting, providing communications support to strategic projects across outpatients, home care, pathology, corporate, surgery, mental health, emergency access and pandemic response.

You'll collaborate with key external and internal stakeholders, including multiple health services, partners, Department of Health and the community, to deliver projects that will make a real difference to the lives of Victorians.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide expert communications advice and support to senior leaders and colleagues.
  • Coordinate work and provide leadership, advice, and support to team members working on communication activity.
  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies to support Monash Health's Strategic Plan and arising operational needs.
  • Produce high-quality communication collateral for a variety of audiences (e.g., presentations, emails, speeches, reports, newsletters, intranet copy, signage etc.)
  • Protect the organisation's performance and reputation through risk management and crisis communications when required.
  • Provide feedback and support to stakeholders around the identification and management of key risks and issues associated with any change, providing advice and solutions around issues should they arise.

You hold relevant qualifications in communications or similar, supported by strong technical expertise, and have a track record of success in implementing communications programs that effectively engage stakeholders.

You work supportively and collaboratively at both strategic and tactical levels. Your personal style enables you to build rapport, credibility and trust quickly, and you are adept at managing stakeholders, issues and reputation.

A superior communicator, you are comfortable working with ambiguity and in environments of constant change, high scrutiny and high demand.

You are known for developing and executing effective, creative, results-driven communications strategies aligned with tangible business objectives.
