Communications Manager

The opportunity

The Communications Manager will be responsible for devising and implementing the communications plans in support of the Alliance’s objectives in the Australian market, including positioning the joint venture and Worldline’s brand in Australia. You will report to the Head of Go to Market and Marketing of the Alliance and will have a dotted line into Worldline’s global communications organisation.

 

Your responsibilities include:

The Communications Manager will be mostly responsible of:

  • Supporting the go-live of the Alliance
    • Planning and developing the launch communications with a focus on media relations and internal activations
    • Actively driving the set-up/adaption of the Alliance’s communications tools and channels
    • Ensuring all plans are delivered in a timely and cost-effective way, utilising global Worldline resources wherever possible.

 

  • Protecting and enhancing the Alliance’s reputation through BAU communications:
    • Ensuring integrated communications programmes by collaborating with local go-to-market teams and Worldline’s wider Merchant Services organisation .
    • Collaborating with local leaders, HR, the Worldline’s global and wider Merchant Services organisation to deliver internal communications programmes that mobilise employees around JV’s strategy, purpose and values
    • Managing communication projects, in line with the JV’s, WL’s and ANZ’s strategic agenda and values, including the adaptation and local implementation of global WL projects.
    • Oversee major external speaking and media opportunities
    • Actively represent the Alliance in global communications initiatives
    • Builds understanding across global/regional lines of Australian culture and communication needs.
    • Channel management including intranet, website and other channels
    • Manages response to basic media enquiries (in collaboration with ANZ and Worldline’s global communications team)

 

  • Crisis communication
    • Following defined processes to support the local communications respond to tech outages, data breaches, cyber-attacks, business continuity and crisis communications.

 

Skills:

  • Experience in roles that have covered internal and external communications
  • A clear writer and editor with experience in a range of mediums (incl. digital) with great attention to detail around grammar, style and use of plain English.
  • Experience in matrix organization/corporate B2B environment
  • Proven experience of managing online channels intranet, website etc.
  • Consulting skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in coaching senior stakeholders.
  • The confidence to make sound and timely decisions in complex environments and demonstrate.
