We are seeking an outstanding professional to take on the Communications Manager role and will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated, strategic communications plans to promote and protect Swinburne’s reputation as one of Australia’s leading universities.

Reporting to the Director, Communications, this is a pivotal strategic position responsible for the development of innovative, engaging and purposeful communications strategies for staff, students and external audiences.
Working collaboratively as a key business partner with named Swinburne portfolios, the Manager maintains effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working across functions to achieve our communications objectives.

About you
The success of this role depends on providing strong management and relatable experience. You will also need to demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary qualification and substantial relevant experience in corporate communications, PR, media or a related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in developing and executing creative, results-driven communications strategies that support organisational goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing the production and distribution of innovative, engaging and purposeful content across external, internal and social audiences.
  • A good track record and experience supporting an organisation through change.
