Key outcomes / Accountabilities
The aim of this role is to:
- Lead, manage, drive and deliver communication and engagement activities for the BIFOLA project, including the planning, monitoring and tracking of communications and engagement activities in accordance with approved strategies and plans
- Oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral including website, social media, fact sheets, speeches, email and video materials to ensure that it is consistent with the Government's policy intent, approved project strategy and QBCC brand.
- Manage work planning and development, and human, financial and physical resources to ensure performance management and effective and efficient deployment of dedicated project staff and resources.
- Provide leadership, direction and support to a dedicated project team of communication specialists in order to deliver BIFOLA project outcomes.
- Monitor communications and engagement activities and outputs against defined project milestones and strategic objectives, reporting project achievements, risks and issues in accordance with the projects governance requirements.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships, alliances and networks with key internal and external stakeholders that enhance the positive image of the organisation, and deliver desired project outcomes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all staff of the Commission and external customers.
Candidate attributes
- Significant experience and proven ability in leading, implementing and coordinate large complex communications and/or legislative reform campaigns both offline and online and across diverse range of stakeholders, and using a collaborative, transparent, contemporary approach.
- High level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish and build relationships with key stakeholders, drive meetings and effectively prioritise and execute tasks in high-pressure and agile environment.
- Experience in managing and leading a team within a project environment including allocation of resources, work unit objectives and reporting activities, budget, risks and issues within project management framework.
- Ability to think strategically with excellent planning and analytical skills, and ability to develop content knowledge within a policy and/or legislative reform context to enable appropriate coordination, advice and monitoring or communications and campaign delivery.
