Communications Engagement Adviser

Description:

We're not just about removing - we're building, we're connecting, we're revitalising, and the team at LXRP is busier than ever!

Officially titled Land and Property Engagement Adviser, this communications focussed role will be based in the Land and Property Engagement Team. The Land and Property Engagement Adviser provides a communication and stakeholder interface between the Project Delivery teams, landowners and tenants, and key stakeholders as part of LXRP's Voluntary Purchase Scheme and compulsory acquisition program.

Your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including (but not limited to):

  • Preparing communication and engagement plans, presentations, key messages and scripts with a keen attention to detail. As well as briefings, reports and correspondence on complex issues.
  • Supporting face-to-face complex communications with landowners and tenants, and managing the logistics associated with key activities such door knocking.
  • Engaging directly with landowners and tenants and providing timely advice about the Voluntary Purchase Scheme and compulsory acquisition process.
  • Identifying and managing reputational risks early by providing timely and strategic communication advice and escalating issues as required.
  • Administering the Voluntary Purchase Scheme more broadly including technical requirements around eligibility

This is a 3-year fixed term, full time position, paying a salary between $103,920 and $125,735 plus superannuation. The role will be performed in a flexible working arrangement with a combination of working from home and our office in the CBD, with the occasional need for out-of-office hours and commute to project delivery areas.

About you

We would love to hear from those with backgrounds including extensive experience in communications, stakeholder relations or customer experience roles within issues rich environments. We encourage those with a highly developed sense of judgement, tact, and diplomacy and a love of large-scale projects to apply.

Whilst experience in the land and property space such as compulsory acquisitions is advantageous to the position, it is by no means essential – this is a great opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge as the team would be thrilled to upskill a passionate people person in all things land and property!

Furthermore, as the successful candidate you will demonstrate:

  • The ability to work effectively and sensitively with diverse communities and stakeholders in sometimes challenging circumstances.
  • Experience developing and delivering end-to-end communication and engagement strategies.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and work closely with interdisciplinary teams as well as a range of Government departments and service providers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem-solve in order to manage competing deadlines and complex issues.
