The Institute for Health Transformation is a strategic Deakin initiative to promote university-wide collaboration to consolidate and showcase health research strengths. The Institute comprises more than 200 multidisciplinary researchers working together with our health and community partners to address the most compelling and complex challenges facing our 21st century health system.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of IHT’s internal and external Communication Strategy for Institute.
- Coordinating and designing the development of compelling, creative content across the Institute’s communication channels ensuring all content is on-brand and in line with Deakin requirements
- Evaluating the effectiveness of existing content and seeking new opportunities for content distribution to broaden the reach of the Institute both nationally and internationally to deliver on strategic objectives
- Creating and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues to develop and deliver engaging and creative content in a range of formats, including video, for diverse audiences within time, budget and technical constraints
- Providing high level advice to the Executive Committee and participate in leadership of groups to provide high level advice on improving visibility of our research
- Leading the development, coordination and implementation of IHT’s social media content calendar and associated workflows ensuring all content is produced on time
- Providing support for researchers looking for advice in relation to promoting their research
- Leading a Communications Community of Practice across the Institute
- Leveraging existing Deakin Communications Resources available across the University
- Contributing to the coordination of and assist with the Institute's events and major publications
