This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the PM&C delegate.
Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 18 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of three years.
A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

The Opportunity
PM&C’s Communications Branch delivers best practice communications to meet the needs of the Prime Minister, portfolio ministers, the Secretary, the Department and portfolio agencies. The Communications Branch works with a range of PM&C policy, program, corporate and executive clients. We provide best-practice media and communications advice to support the outcomes and strategic objectives of the Australian Government.
We are looking to fill vacancies for the below positions:
APS6 Communications Adviser - developing, implementing and evaluating multi-channel communications strategies to promote the Government’s priorities and promote departmental priorities; developing engaging written and digital content for PM&C’s external and internal communications channels including PM&C’s website, social media channels, PM&C staff newsletters and intranet feature stories; working closely with colleagues across the Communications branch to leverage their expertise to develop best practice communications solutions.
