Description:
As a Commercial Sales Manager, based in Morningside, you will report to the State Business Manager and will lead the sales strategy and sales excellence within the region.
You will also manage the sales team and collaboratively work with the wider professional architectural team to ensure maximum value is added to the ANZ Architectural strategy and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tactical sales improvement plans.
- Develop market share growth strategies.
- Deliver professional presentations to current and prospective customers regarding products/brands.
- Implement marketing and promotional plans to maximise profitable sales.
- Identify and target potential new clients while managing existing clients.
- Develop ongoing relationships between the Store team, Trade Sales Managers, and Sales Account Managers.
- Establish main contacts with Architects, Commercial builders, Property Managers, Project Managers, and Painting Contractors.
- Improve the customer service proposition to support the brand strategy.
- Monitor the changing needs of customers and competitor activity, and report these developments to sales and marketing management.
- Add value through service proposition as a point of difference.
- Attend industry seminars and events to network and showcase PPG brands and services.
- Manage the expense budget following company expectations.
- Establish a safe work environment.
- Other Ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- Successful track record in Account Management or Sales Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development or a similar role.
- People management experience will be desirable.
- Industry knowledge – Building/Construction.
- High-level negotiation skills with effective value-selling ability.
