Cloud Security Engineer

Description:

This Branch provides digital and technology services to the major department and its stakeholders. This Branch's works to enable regulation of communications and media to maximise the economic and social benefits to Australia. Within your team you will oversee the application of security measures of the system and its data. You will also provide oversight and input into the Agency Cyber Uplift Program working closely with Infrastructure & Platform Support Services.

Your day will consist of;

• Developing and applying system configurations across a range of Microsoft and cloud technologies.
• Integrating security architecture based on Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender and other support technologies
• Developing secure solutions in line with the Essential Eight, PSPF and ISM
• Designing and implementing enhancements to the vulnerability management

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role your background will include the following;

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in developing, implementing and managing hybrid cloud solutions, ideally within a Government Department or a partnering provider
• Background in Microsoft operating systems (GPO, MECM/SCCM, Azure Automation)
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell
• Good understanding of IP networking principles
