Description:
Our key government client is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a professional cloud team.
- You will be involved in supporting and implementing cloud solutions within a complex, enterprise environment.
- We are looking for a team player who is customer orientated and able to quickly understand and adhere to organisational policy, procedures and security requirements for implementing, supporting and maintaining could solutions.
- Ideal candidate would have previous experience in building, maintaining, managing, and providing support to customers to resolve cloud related technical issues. The candidate would also have a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take directions and to also work independently.
- The Cloud Engineer role will partner in leading a statewide work program, undertake an annual review and refresh of the supporting roadmap and to develop the digital transformation program business case.
- Knowledge and experience deploying cloud infrastructure resources (Azure/AWS)
- Knowledge and experience managing cloud networking (VNET, VPC, Express Route, Direct connect, VPN & etc.)
- Good knowledge of scripting and automation (Power Shell, python, C# etc.)
- Previous experience in Azure DevOps would be an advantage
- Experience supporting Azure Active Directory and cloud Identity knowledge & experience (Azure AD, AWS IAM, federated authentication)
- Knowledge of cloud monitoring and related tools
- Knowledge and experience in cloud security
- Background in infrastructure management, windows OS, DNS, DHCP
- Experience and knowledge of ITIL processors
- Experience using Service Now to manage support requests would be an advantage
- Must be able to learn new technology and acquire skills rapidly
- Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with stakeholders, vendors and customers
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with multiple competing priorities
