Ballarat Health Services, proudly part of Grampians Health has an opportunity in the Clinical Trials Unit and invites applications from experienced Clinical Trial Coordinators.

The successful applicant will assist with the coordination of clinical trials including support for trials growth inclusive of oncology and non-oncology trials.

As a member of the research team, the Clinical Trial Coordinator (CTC) will be responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect care and associated data collection for concurrent research studies undertaken in the Cancer Services department, in accordance with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Note for guidance on Good Clinical Practice (CPMP/I CH/135/95) and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), view the National statement on ethical conduct in research involving humans. The Clinical Trial coordinator will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to research participants and, where relevant, their families, in partnership with all members of the multidisciplinary and research team.

The CTC is the lead primary coordinator for several sponsored clinical trials and maintaining all associated responsibilities within scope of practice from study start to close out.

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as work in close cooperation with other members of a research team and to maintain good working relationships with staff
  • High level of initiative with a demonstrated ability to plan, implement, priorities and set deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to adhere to privacy requirements of the role
  • High proficiency in a range of computer applications, Microsoft Office suite, Web based search engines and databases
  • Previous experience with clinical trials would be advantages.
