A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to be able to work within PSUAS to support the Real Time Prescription Monitoring Program (RTPM) which has been established to support NSW Government objectives to improve the regulation of, and reduce harm from, selected high risk medicines in NSW. The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 will provide expert clinical advice and consultancy to health care professionals within a defined specialty. In addition to telephone advice, the PSUAS CNC will provide further support to the helpline callers via provision of resources such as emails with links to relevant websites, appropriate referral pathways and escalation if additional Specialist input is required. The PSUAS CNC will appropriately triage all incoming calls to ensure patient safety and recommend appropriate follow-up as required. The CNC will also provide specialist Consultation Liaison (CL) for patients admitted to the SVHS and support the Pain Service with CNC related activities.
