Within this role, you will be part of the team that provides a supportive and compassionate environment for expectant mothers and their newborns.

As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:
 

  • Providing direct nursing care to infants in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed;
  • Being confident in supporting and caring for babies from 32 weeks;
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant;
  • Educating and supporting families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and strategies for promoting infant development;
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures;
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
     

REQUIREMENTS
 

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Experience with CPAP, Nasogastric Feeding and Neonatal Ventilation;
  • Post Grad Qualification - Neonate Intensive Care;
  • At least 5 years of experience in neonatal nursing or a related specialty;
  • Current certification in ALS;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment;
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and family-centered care to infants and their families.
