Reporting to the Group Clinical Coding Manager, the role of the Clinical Coding Educator is to develop, implement and coordinate the Clinical Coding Education Program, including; coder competencies, education, training sessions and feedback based on outcomes of internal and external audits.

Working effectively with your team and utilising your communication and interpersonal skills, you will undertake a leadership role in coding decisions, mentoring and supporting the hospital to maintain an accurate and consistent coding service.

You will Need:

• Previous experience working in a private hospital setting
• Bachelor of Health Information Management (HIM) OR
• Equivalent HIMAA Accredited Clinical Coding Certification
• Knowledge and understanding of health fund contracts
• Proven auditing and education experience
• Experience with Cerner Patient Systems and PICQ - desirable

This role will be offered as a permanent, full-time position, based onsite at the The Wesley Hospital.
