Working with the Brisbane Partnership, National Environment & Sustainable Development Practice Group and senior Clients and Markets professionals, this fast-paced role will see you develop and implement a range of client and marketing activities. With a focus on pitches and tenders, you will also be exposed to digital and thought leadership projects, directories and awards, seminars and events, and assist with key client accounts.

You will be someone who is eager to learn and enjoys working with a variety of people across the business, exceptional relationship management skills are critical to the success of this role. You will naturally challenge the status quo and be energised delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with drafting and coordinating tenders and proposals, capability statements, practice directory submissions, and lawyer profiles;
  • Providing assistance with client communications and client planning;
  • Coordinating the in-house client seminar program including webinars;
  • Supporting the Events Managers in coordination of client events;
  • Maintenance of BD databases and general administration;
  • Developing a profile and credibility with internal clients (i.e. lawyers and other employees) and actively promoting the Clients and Markets function, its expertise and capabilities; and
  • Other tasks as directed by the Clients & Markets Manager.
     

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will:
 

  • 2+ years in a similar role in business development, communications or related experience (ideally in a professional services/corporate environment) or demonstrated transferrable experience in professional service environment/corporate)
  • be a collaborator and connector with an ability to build relationships across all levels
  • be curious, with the ability to ask good questions (and listen effectively)
  • a proactive, enthusiastic, positive approach to your work
  • tertiary qualification in marketing or a business-related discipline (desirable)
  • experience in preparing tenders and proposals (desirable)
  • experience in coordinating seminars and events (desirable)
  • experience using Microsoft Excel and an intermediate/advance level in Microsoft Word
  • experience using online event platforms (desirable)
  • exposure or knowledge of Client Relationship Management databases (Interaction desirable)
  • be a strong communicator with exceptional oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail
  • strong project management and multi-tasking skills
  • the ability to learn quickly
  • work well under pressure and have an ability to deal with different stakeholders.
