Rarekind is looking for Civil Engineer - Council
Role
In this contract role, you will be tasked with investigating, assessing, diagnosing, and resolving slope stability, to achieve the safe and efficient movement of people and goods on roadways for the Central Coast community. You will develop reports, plans and studies to address issues whilst providing specialist advice and recommendations.
Reporting to the Team Leader Road Assets, you will work closely with and be well supported by other members of the road assets team. Working closely with your local community, the safety of yourself and the community will always be at the forefront when performing your day-to-day duties.
Working a 9-day fortnight, in a 35-hour-per-week role, you will be afforded the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment where you would typically work 2 days from home and 3 days in the office.
About You
You are a technically minded problem solver who holds tertiary qualifications in civil or geotechnical engineering. You ideally have experience in project management, project engineering or engineering in the civil or natural disaster space.
Desirably, you have previous experience with landslides and remediation including retaining structures. This is of course a nice to have for this role, so if you don't have experience with this, we would have plenty of positions available and would love to hear from you.
