Join a distinguished Australian-owned engineering consultancy located in the east of Melbourne who are at the forefront of the water industry. You will play a pivotal role in achieving outcomes that surpass the expectations of clients and stakeholders in terms of quality, timeliness, and cost.
This opportunity is open to Intermediate/Senior Civil Engineers with a background in water industry design. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent industry expertise, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the water industry.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake master planning, conceptual, functional, detailed design, and provide construction support for various water assets such as treatment plants, storages, pipelines, and pump stations.
- Interpret client or project technical requirements, devise solutions, and lead the preparation of comprehensive multi-disciplinary design documentation.
- Engage in design-only and design & construct projects, collaborating with multiple construction partners.
- Foster strong client relationships, working directly with clients to consistently meet their needs.
- Manage design projects, leading and reviewing civil designs.
- Guide the preparation and/or create technical drawings in both 2D and 3D, adhering to client specifications and digital engineering standards.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the consultancy by leveraging your industry experience, knowledge, and contacts.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Possess experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water industry. Comparable expertise in similar infrastructure industries will also be considered.
- Demonstrate proficiency in civil design and effective collaboration across disciplines.
- Exhibit the ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently, adhering to budgeted hours and timeframes.
- Hold Chartered (CPEng) status and be registered for Civil Engineering in Victoria (PER), or have the ability to obtain these qualifications within an agreed timeframe with support from the consultancy (CMP).
