The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) is one of the world’s leading training and education institutions in circus arts. Over the years, it has produced many national and international circus artists who now actively perform and are employed by major Circus and Physical Theatre companies around the world.

NICA’s primary objective is to provide the best educational programs in circus arts for young and emerging artists. In order to continue to offer the best circus arts education programs and to further develop our courses, NICA would like to invite talented and experienced Circus Teachers apply to NICA join the Teaching team. We have a number of full time and part time positions available to begin January 2023.

Ideally potential Circus Teachers must demonstrate experience with at least two different circus specialties. We are particularly interested in, but not limited to, those who have skills in teaching the following specialties:

  • Acrobatic
  • Roue Cyr
  • Handstands / Hand Balancing
  • Wall Tramp
  • Manipulation
  • Hula Hoop
  • Foundations (Handstands, Tumbling, Flexibility)

NICA Ltd is a not-for-profit company, owned by Swinburne University of Technology and established to create Australia’s (and the world’s) next generation of circus performer.
