The role

• Provide specialist engineering & LEAN technical support to develop process capability
• Facilitate training and transfer knowledge to improve work areas and eliminate loss
• Based at our food processing plant in Echuca, regional VIC


 

We now have a newly create role for a CI Process Engineer to join our food manufacturing facility in Echuca, regional Victoria. Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will provide specialist engineering support within our Supply Chain team in developing process capability and understanding. You will also support the manufacturing site in the CI process using Lean Principles to improve work areas and eliminate loss.
 

What you will do

Key to your role is your ability to facilitate, coach and train team members to upskill capabilities and transfer your CI knowledge. You will lead training programs and work with the manufacturing site to oversee the design and implementation of manufacturing process settings to ensure end-product specifications are met and losses are eliminated. You will review current process line capabilities and provide input into technical decisions for improvements and capital projects. The primary purpose is the identification of opportunities for efficiency improvements.
 

What you will bring

• Degree or Trade qualified (Engineering or Science) and an industry background within a Food / FMCG environment.
• Continuous Improvement experience with a sound knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma, TPM etc., methodologies.
• Ideally certified Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt accreditation.
• Cert IV Training & Assessment qualified.
