Chief Medical Officer

Description:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Chief Medical Officer will join the executive team to support the Company’s vision and values, strategic plan implementation and transformation agenda.

Specifically, the Chief Medical Officer will drive enhanced clinical standards and patient safety through the National Clinical Governance Framework, ensuring a best practice model for clinical governance including quality and safety, clinical risk management and reporting, and innovation in models of care. The successful candidate will strengthen the Company’s reputation as a destination employer for Radiologists and imaging staff and represent the Company via relevant industry events and bodies.

• Extensive experience as a practicing Radiologist in both public and private sectors
• Respected clinician with broad skill base across multiple modalities
• Proven experience addressing clinical governance issues and/or implementing a clinical care transformation strategy and supporting framework
• Ability to provide insight, expert analysis and advice to the CAJ Board and Executive on clinical matters
• Ability to liaise and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders including State and Commonwealth government agencies
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead staff and build a strong and positive workplace culture, aligned with CAJ’s vision and values
• Proven knowledge of relevant accreditation, legislation and licencing associated with the provision of Diagnostic Imaging services
• Committed to establishment and delivery of high-quality education, training programs and sub speciality advisory groups
• Previous experience as a Clinical Director or like role in either public or private Diagnostic Imaging Department, health business highly regarded
• Current involvement with professional and industry bodies will be highly regarded
