The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust (Churchill Trust), a company limited by guarantee, is a not-for-profit institution that was established in Australia in 1965 to honour the memory of Sir Winston Churchill. Around 100 Churchill Fellowships are awarded each year to Australians nationally from all walks of life. As an internationally recognised award, recipients are enabled to gain knowledge and skills overseas through access to expertise from around the world. There is a high level of visibility and credibility associated with becoming a Churchill Fellow, as well as a responsibility to apply and share the practical benefits acquired with the Australian community.

As Chief Executive Officer, reporting to the Chair and Board, you will be responsible for driving and implementing the overall strategic direction of the Churchill Trust. You will play a central role in continuing to build on the high national and international regard for the Trust and its Fellows and for encouraging the further development of promising Australians in their field of endeavour. As a values-based, collaborative leader, you will guide and mentor the staff team and oversight effective corporate governance, management of the day to day financial and business operations, including implementation of investment decisions, marketing and advocacy, and have the capacity to identify and effectively manage risk. You will also play a pivotal role in liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders in state and territory jurisdictions, sponsors, alumni associations, and with relevant Government agencies. As a media spokesperson, you will represent and promote the Churchill Trust nationally and in a wide range of fora.
