The work includes such tasks as

? Preparation of chemical samples or standards for analysis or calibration;

? Operation of instrumental analytical systems for chemical analysis;

? Laboratory wet chemistry or gravimetric methods for chemical analysis;

? Sampling or processing of air, water, soil or other environmental samples, chemicals, toxins or biofluids for analysis;

? Trace analysis of organic or inorganic air contaminants;

? Trace analysis of organic or inorganic contaminants in environmental samples;

? Organic or inorganic chemical synthesis or separations at laboratory or pilot scale;

? Advice regarding organic or inorganic chemical synthesis processes at production or industrial scale;

? Organic or inorganic chemical synthesis using continuous flow reactors;

? Advice regarding organic or inorganic chemical synthesis processes at production or industrial scale;

? Organic or inorganic chemical synthesis using continuous flow reactors;

? Chemical or materials characterisation, routine operation or maintenance of a range of chemical analysis or characterisation instrumentation including: gas or liquid chromatographs; Infra-red, Raman, UV-Vis, fluorescence or nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers; mass spectrometers or hybrid separation-mass spectrometer systems; optical, confocal, atomic force or scanning electron microscopy; surface area or pore size analysis; rheometery; or differential scanning calorimetry systems;

? Determine reaction kinetics of chemical reactions or processes through the design and execution of appropriate experiments, including the measurement, processing or analysis of data;

? Process raw data using software packages such as Excel, R, Matlab, etc;

? Search, review and collate information from published data sources;

? Collate, analyse and present data for inclusion in formal or informal reports or presentations;
