Training & Change AnalystFull-Time, Fixed Term until 28 June 2024 About VMIAVictorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) is the Victorian Government's insurer and risk adviser, covering the people and projects that help Victorians thrive. We're an agency in the Department of Treasury and Finance portfolio, established under the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority Act, and report to the Assistant Treasurer.We provide insurance and risk advice to government departments and agencies, with more than 4,600 clients, ranging from small community service organisations to public hospitals, schools, and core service providers. We also provide domestic building insurance to builders, giving Victorian homeowners peace of mind for building projects valued over $16,000.We help our clients prepare for, prevent, or reduce the impact of harm. Your roleThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a valuable contribution to transformational change at VMIA while developing skills in change, training, and communications in a supportive environment.Your role works closely with the business to provide change support, including communications and training, for a range of digital and non-digital projects.This is a development role and will be supported to learn through tailored training programs and on-the-job mentoring.Your role sits in the Business Implementation Team of the Programs and Projects Office, reporting to the Business Implementation Manager.To succeed in this role, you will have a natural analytical way of thinking, be able to work on more than one project task at a time, be flexible to changing priorities and skilled at problem solving.Drawing on your highly developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills along with strong business acumen (ideally insurance industry knowledge), you'll use your experience to understand process change impacts, scope operation implications and work with the project/business to implement readiness activities.You'll have some experience in identifying and documenting staff and client requirements for training and reference materials, creating training and reference materials, such as quick reference guides, frequently asked questions, how to videos, creating training session plans and resources and updating training and reference materials as required.   • You are supported by the Business Implementation Manager and Change Manager to support the business to deliver projects.
  • You work closely with Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Process experts and Change Analysts to achieve outcomes, share skills and knowledge.
  • You build relationships across VMIA related to learning deliverables as required. You communicate effectively with key stakeholders with the aim of supporting business readiness for internal and external client channels.
  • You collaborate with colleagues across VMIA teams to bring the best guidance and capability programs to life.

About you
 

  • Experience designing and developing guidance material and capability programs, which may include written guides, training workshops, consulting services, videos, or online tools.
  • Ability to understand process maps and system changes to translate them into plain English.
  • Excellent documentation skills and experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Outlook.
  • 5 years' experience in the workforce in a corporate environment working on change programs of work.
  • You hold a qualification, or equivalent experience, in adult education, learning and development, service design, change management, marketing, communications, organisational behaviour, business or other related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to take direction and accountability to deliver work in the agreed time and to a high standard of quality.
  • Positive and constructive behaviour.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
