Category Manager

 

Description:

This is a full-time hybrid Category Manager role, with some work from home flexibility, located in Sydney, NSW. The Category Manager will be responsible for identifying, selecting, and procuring products for NARTA retailers, supporting members in meeting their ESG objectives. They will collaborate with suppliers, retailers, and other stakeholders to achieve category budgets, sales targets, and profit margins. The Category Manager will also develop and implement procurement plans, lead contract negotiations, analyze market trends, identify opportunities for cost savings, and mitigate procurement-related risks.

 

Qualifications

  • Category Management and Procurement skills
  • Strong Analytical Skills, including data analysis, market research, and financial analysis
  • Excellent Contract Negotiation skills
  • Proven Sales and Business Development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus
  • Experience in the retail industry is highly desired
