The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Category Manager to be part of our Global Supplier Alliance team to manage lower-tier electronics suppliers in a category management function.

As part of your day-to-day activities, you will partner with your stakeholders to collaborate and understand their requirements, know what their priorities are, and identify where assistance is needed.

You will influence Category Strategy and operational initiatives, have the opportunity to help understand and develop new processes, utilise strategic sourcing and procurement techniques, maintain supplier relationships, identify and manage risk whilst putting in place strategies and agreements to generate business value which in turn translates into a partnership with strategic suppliers for long term business value.

Let’s Talk About Responsibilities

  • Develop sourcing strategies for support of direct spend for new and existing products in consultation with business stakeholders.
  • Manage sourcing documents, agreements, statements of work, amendments, renewals and related procurement documents.
  • Lead and Manage RFI/RFQ/RFPs from start to finish, which includes creation, issuance, and facilitation of the entire process, through supplier evaluations (using scorecards) and supplier selection.
  • Manage complex sourcing projects and lead contract negotiations that optimize value to the company.
  • Liaise with Product Development, Engineering, Legal, Finance, QA, Vendor Security, Privacy, teams and other departments on Supplier management related matters.
  • Lead projects that drive price reduction, optimized demand, vendor consolidation and process improvement.
  • Ensure that the supplier selection process is in support of the category strategies and the ResMed Quality Management System.
  • Professionally manage and measure suppliers for continuous performance and improvement.
  • Promote internal stakeholder awareness of direct procurement processes and systems, and promote compliance to Procurement best practices. to reduce maverick spending.
  • Evaluate suppliers for preferred supplier programs by category and drive adoption with stakeholders.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of ResMed’s Quality system to work within established policies and procedures.
  • Identify, develop and deliver, in consultation with other stakeholders, continuous improvements to the processes which support Global Supplier Alliance activities.
  • Provide regular communication and training on processes and systems.
  • Meet and exceed assigned business excellence targets.
