GenesisCare Cardiology is seeking a part-time (3 days per week) Registered Nurse for an initial 6 month contract to support our Brisbane sites. Our Cardiology Nurses are key members of a multidisciplinary clinical team led by Cardiologists that delivers exceptional care for patients in an innovative model of outpatient care. Our Cardiology Nurses are expected to strive for best possible patient outcomes through teamwork, innovative practices, and optimal use of technology
What You’ll Do
- Delivery of patient centred care in structured facilitated clinics that follow clear protocols, and are supported by IT systems tailored for a specific area of focus (eg Heart Failure)
- Engagement with patients remotely outside of clinics using digital or other platforms to ensure quality, access and efficiency of care is optimised
- Be responsible for the collection and validation of key patient data used for research and continual improvement purposes
- Assist with CTCA preparation and post procedure care of patients
Who You Are
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
- A least 2 years experience in cardiology nursing and a demonstrated understanding of allied health care.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
- Strong commitment to quality patient care.
- Ideally IV cannulation competent but willing to train suitable candidate
- Post graduate qualifications or critical care experience highly regarded
