The Office of Responsible Gambling leads programs and initiatives to prevent and reduce gambling harm in the NSW community and provides public policy advice to the NSW Government. Program areas include research, community education & awareness, intervention, support and treatment services and public policy development.

About the role

This role is responsible for developing and managing awareness campaigns to prevent and minimise gambling harm. Our campaigns aim to educate and empower individuals and the community so that they can make informed choices, take action to prevent and reduce gambling harm, and seek support when they need it. These campaigns support the Office of Responsible Gambling in achieving our vision of NSW working towards zero gambling harm.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of awareness campaigns, including their development, delivery and evaluation, with the support of external suppliers and internal stakeholders.

About you

You will have a strong background in marketing or communications in a human service or public sector environment.

You will have a demonstrated ability to:

  • Lead the development and delivery of successful public awareness campaigns
  • Develop effective messaging and strategies for sensitive and complex issues
  • Develop and deliver campaigns for different segments of the community
  • Manage multiple projects with competing priorities

You will have:

  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
  • Experience in a human services or public sector environment
